For Immediate Release:
VERONIKA CARNABY DEBUT NOVEL, Bohemia, EXPECTED FOR AUTUMN RELEASE.
Acclaimed American writer and poet Veronika
Carnaby recently announced release plans for her debut book, Bohemia, slated to hit US store shelves and Amazon.com in the fall of 2012. Influenced by the works
of Beat writers and poets, the story takes place
during 1960 and chronicles a group of bohemian twenty-somethings who
defy the "ideals" of a mid-twentieth century society to seek creative
fulfillment.
"What's different about this book is its stylistic approach," the author expressed in a recent statement. "I like to consider it offbeat, avant garde. The plot wasn't written in a
traditional manner, but rather in a spontaneous burst over a 3 month
period. If you take a liking to the authors of the Beat movement, you'll enjoy Bohemia." Though an official date has yet to be set, the book is anticipated for a September release.
Bohemia will be available for purchase worldwide on Amazon.com and in American bookstores.
About the author: Veronika Carnaby's vintage charm carries into
her written works. Over the years, her Beat-style prose pieces have gained
international recognition after appearing in such publications and
functions as The Ed Sullivan Show, SESAC Magazine, SXSW, and the SESAC
New York Music Awards, among others. Carnaby infuses her writing with a
poignancy and passion for 20th century culture, music and literature. Find out more and stay updated at her official website and official Twitter account, @VeronikaCarnaby.

Who Knows
A Veronika Carnaby Original
#Tonight she'll leave her 9 to 5Shoulders slumped and
Arms a-hangin'
Stroll into her second job
A burger joint for
Pattie slangin'
Her feet they throb
The pain of sorrow
How will she make it
'til tomorrow
Can she keep up
Nobody knows tonight
#Tonight he's working' overtime
Drivin' folk
Through broken streets
And when he's done
He asks for more don't
matter if he's beat
His crooked fingers
Grasp the money
That he will bring
His darlin' honey
Is it enough
Nobody knows tonight
#Tomorrow they will wake up
Start all over and
Pretend
That the new light brings
A new day and that all of this
Will end
Hope lives on but
It will beckon
Sooner than they'd like or
Reckon
When will It change
Nobody knows tonight
